Description  

  • Non-ionic Polyacrylamide Flocculant:
    • High molecular weight with high charge degree powder
    • Used as flocculant in direct filtration process for settling of inorganic suspended solids, effluent water, and sludge dewatering
    • Used for effluent treatment of inorganic suspended solids found in chemical, fishery, food, textile, dye, other effluent water, mining and coal washing waste water, metal processing, etc.

Application Fields

  • Mine washing: PAM can be used for coal washing tailing centrifugal separation, sedimentation, and filtration to improve recovery rates and filtration speeds.
  • Well drilling mud additives: PAM can be used as a mud additive in oilfields to increase water viscosity and improve the effectiveness of the water flooding process.
  • Industrial wastewater treatment: PAM can be used to reduce coagulant consumption and speed up sedimentation in wastewater treatment.
  • Textile auxiliary agent: PAM can be added with other chemicals to improve adhesive property, penetrability, and desizing performance in textile manufacturing, reduce desizing rates, and improve electrostatic prevention performance.
  • Paper-making: PAM can be used as a fixing agent, residency agent, filtration aid, and paper dry and wet intensity reinforcing agent in the paper-making industry.
  • Sewage water treatment: Nonionic-polyacrylamide is more suitable for acidophilic sewage water systems, and can be matched with PAC, aluminum sulfate, and similar products for the best results in water treatment.
  • Metallurgical mineral dressing: PAM can be added to leachate and slag to improve separation efficiency in zinc, manganese, and copper mining floatation and smelting.
  • Sand prevention and solidification: The polyacrylamide can be dissolved into a 0.3% concentration, cross-linking agent is added, and the product can be sprayed on desert areas to prevent and solidify sand.

Application Methods

1

Dissolving 

concentration:

Polyacrylamdie (polyelectrolyte/flocculant) should be standardly be dissolved to 0.1-0.5% concentration.

Dissolving 

time:

The time required to dissolve the flocculant varies according to the type of flocculant, water quality, temperature and agitation. However, most flocculants generally require around 1 hour of agitation to completely dissolve the powder. Incomplete mixture of flocculant or lumping may inhibit the performance of the flocculant.

Agitation 

speed: 

The ideal revolution of the agitator is between 200-400rpm. A high speed agitator operating without reducing the revolution of a motor is not advised, since it may cut the molecules of the flocculant. An ideal agitator motor should be of 1HP for a 1-2m3 mixing tank.

Application 

and Dosage:

The dosage range of varies from 1 - 3.0 ppm depending upon the type of effluent and application. Advised to do jar tests for evaluating the functioning and approximate dosage.

Jar Test: 

Put sample of effluent in a beaker and add it as designated, agitate for 1 minute at 100-120 rpm and then slowly agitate at 60rpm. Determine the flocs properly at this time and note the sedimentation and clarity of top solution.

 

Package and Storage

 

  •     Packed in Kraft or PE bags with inner plastic bags, with each bag containing 25kgs, or 750kgs net big bag.
  •     Stored in original packaging in cool and dry place, away from sources of heat, flame and direct sunlight.
