Sewage Treatment Flocculation Polymer Blufloc Cationic Polyacrylamide Flocculant
Description:
-
Bluwat Chemicals have the most comprehensive range of flocculants available for solid liquid separation processes in all industry sectors. We've been supplying flocculants for water treatment and wastewater treatment for 15 years.
-
BLUFLCO products and onsite technical services help both municipalities and industry improve wastewater quality and compliance.
-
Our products are successfully marketed into the following industry segments; Mining operations and extractive industries, chemical & pharmaceutical, food & beverage, textile & leather, oil & gas drilling, aggregate recycling, potable water & municipal sewage treatment.
About Sewage Treatment:
- Sewage treatment is the process of removing contaminants from wastewater, primarily from household sewage. It includes physical, chemical, and biological processes to remove these contaminants and produce environmentally safe treated wastewater (or treated effluent). A by-product of sewage treatment is usually a semi-solid waste or slurry, called sewage sludge, that has to undergo further treatment before being suitable for disposal or land application.
- Sewage treatment may also be referred to as wastewater treatment, although the latter is a broader term which can also be applied to purely industrial wastewater. For most cities, the sewer system will also carry a proportion of industrial effluent to the sewage treatment plant which has usually received pretreatment at the factories themselves to reduce the pollutant load. If the sewer system is a combined sewer then it will also carry urban runoff (stormwater) to the sewage treatment plant.
Flocculant for Sewage Treatment:
- Wastewater treatment flocculants polymers remove suspension solid from water, both coagulation and flocculation. At first provided definitions for both coagulation and flocculation.
- Flocculation, mostly using polyacrylamide as the flocculant to get big flocs and speed up sedimentation.
- Flocculants gather the destabilized particles together and cause them to agglomerate and drop out of solution. Examples of BLUFLOC flocculants include low, medium, and high molecular weight polymers.

Functional Principle of Polyacrylamide:
Adsorbing suspension particles, polymer chains entangle and cross-link each other to form bridging, and make flocculation structure enlarge and thicken, and has the functions of surface adsorption and electric neutralization.
PAM molecule chain and dispersed phase form bridging bond, ion bond and covalent bond to increase combination strength.
