Description

Ferric sulphate, a main inorganic coagulant containing trivalent iron (Fe3+), exhibits excellent capabilities in removing turbidity, COD, BODY, TSS, TP, and decolorizing. It likewise possesses strong flocculation capabilities.

 

Application

Ferric sulphate finds applications in numerous areas such as water and wastewater treatment, sludge thickening, phosphorus control for wastewater, mining water clarifying, and commercial wastewater treatment. Industries like fabric, leather, brewery, meat-processing, coal-washing, metallurgy, mining, pharmacy, paper-making, massacre, cooling tower, and oilfield use it for treating their wastewater. In addition, it is beneficial for drinking water purification and clarification, and it can likewise function as a paper sizing agent with Grade PAC-01.

Application Fields:

 

There are various fields where this application can be used, including water and wastewater treatment for sewage and industrial purposes, sludge thickening, phosphorus control for wastewater, treatment of oily wastewater, and industrial wastewater treatment for different industries such as papermaking, printing, automobile manufacturing, beer production, and others. Additionally, this application can also be used for treating various types of industrial circulating water, such as the make-up water for high-pressure boilers in heat and power plants, industry wastewater in biochemical treatment facilities, waste emulsifying solutions, opalescent solutions, and oil wastewater. Furthermore, this application is suitable for mining water clarifying purposes.

 

 

Application Methods:

Dissolved in a pond in 20-50% concentration, stirred it, then standing to till the water is a brown red

According to the original medicine, its dosage is equal to poly aluminum chloride, which is 1/3~1/4 of solid aluminum sulfate. The solution follows the concentration

During use, feeding the medicine by measuring the tank.

Generally, the Ferric sulfate working solution shall be used right after preparation. Use pure tap water for preparation. Sometimes slight precipitation may occur depending on the water used.

 Keep close attention to the progress of the application which may be divided into three stages:
        (1)Coagulation: A large amount of micro flocs formed in a very short time after the PFS working solution is mixed with raw water. The water turns more turbid. Vigorous stirring is needed at this stage, usually 250-300r/min in sample test for 10-30S, at the maximum not exceeding 2min.
        (2)Flocculation: The micro flocs grows to form large ones. Mild stirring at first and then standing for 10-15min is required at this stage. In the sample test, stir at 150r/min for 6 min, then 60r/min for 4 min.
        (3)Sedimentation: water flow shall be very slow at this stage for floc settling. To achieve high efficiency, lamella settling or flotation methods can be used. In the sample test, stir at 20-30r/min for 5 min, stand for 10 min, and test turbidity.

Compulsive filtration: choose suitable filter material or filter aid to achieve a good capture effect and filtration speed. This is a key step for the improvement of water quality.
