Description:
The EA-6518 grade of Anionic Polyacrylamide Emulsion (APAM) is a water-based polymer with a high molecular weight and medium charge degree. This type of APAM has a molecular weight range of 16-25 million and an anionic charge density of 10-60%.
Its primary uses include increasing water viscosity and promoting the flocculation of particles in water. The presence of polar groups on the molecular chain allows for the adsorption of solid particles suspended in water, which can bridge between particles or through charge and create larger flocs, thus accelerating particle settlement, promoting water clarification, and enhancing filtering effects.
The EA-6518 grade of APAM is mainly used for various industrial wastewater treatment applications, such as flocculation sedimentation, clarification, and sludge dewatering. It is commonly used in wastewater treatment for iron and steel plants, electroplating wastewater, metallurgical wastewater, coal washing wastewater, as well as in sugar and juice mills. Additionally, it can be used for drinking water purification treatment.
This water-soluble polymer is safe, non-toxic, hydrolytically stable, and not sensitive to changes in pH value or chlorine. It is harmless, non-flammable, and non-explosive, making it suitable for storage at room temperature. However, it should not be exposed to sunlight. It is slightly acidic, and if it comes into contact with skin, it should be washed immediately with plenty of water.
