Application Fields:
The Oil-displacing Agent is a vital component of tertiary oil recovery in oil fields. It adjusts the rheology of the water used, increasing the viscosity of the driving liquid, improving water drive wave efficiency, and reducing water phase permeability in the ground layer. This helps maintain a consistent flow of oil and water, resulting in the production of approximately 100 to 150 tons more crude oil per ton of macromolecule polyacrylamide product used.
As a raw material for well drilling mud, it acts as an adhesive, improving the service life of drill bits, drill speed, and footage while reducing plug replacement. Additionally, it has a prominent effect on preventing well sloughing, and can be used as fracturing fluid or a plugging agent to control profiles and plug water.
The product can also function as a flocculant, where it adsorbs the solid particles dispersed in water, bridges between particles, and facilitates their sedimentation and separation. It acts as a dispersant in drilling mud treatment, improving lubricity and stability while reducing water loss, effectively preventing sticking and increasing drilling efficiency.
Under the influence of Al3+, Fe3+, Ca2+ and other ions, the product generates cross-linking, and the high molecular compound changes from a linear to a body shape, making it a blocking agent. This product is not water-soluble, and can be adsorbed onto the borehole to block ground layer gaps and prevent drilling fluid leakage.
The product also functions as a lubricant, as it forms a liquid film on the surface of metal or clay particles, changing the friction on the solid surface to liquid friction. This lubricates drill bits and drills, lowers the mud cake friction coefficient, and reduces underground accidents. With a higher hydrolysis degree, it can also change from a flocculant to a fluid loss additive, which reduces cake permeability to keep the borehole stable and minimize filtrate invasion and damage to the pay zone.
Finally, it acts as a shale inhibition agent by forming multipoint adsorption of polymers to crisscross membrane macromolecules, enhancing borehole stability.
Competitive Advantage:
1 |
Economical to use - lower dosage levels. |
2 |
Easily soluble in water; dissolves rapidly. |
3 |
Faster sedimentation, better flocculation. |
4 |
Non-pollution (no aluminum, chlorine, heavy metal ions etc.). |
5 |
10 years of manufacturing experience, with more than 20 technical engineers |
Application Methods:
1 |
Dissolving concentration: |
Polyacrylamdie (polyelectrolyte/flocculant) should be standardly be dissolved to 0.1-0.5% concentration. |
2 |
Dissolving time: |
The time required to dissolve the flocculant varies according to the type of flocculant, water quality, temperature and agitation. However, most flocculants generally require around 1 hour of agitation to completely dissolve the powder. Incomplete mixture of flocculant or lumping may inhibit the performance of the flocculant. |
3 |
Agitation speed: |
The ideal revolution of the agitator is between 200-400rpm. A high speed agitator operating without reducing the revolution of a motor is not advised, since it may cut the molecules of the flocculant. An ideal agitator motor should be of 1HP for a 1-2m3 mixing tank. |
4 |
Application and Dosage: |
The dosage range of varies from 1 - 3.0 ppm depending upon the type of effluent and application. Advised to do jar tests for evaluating the functioning and approximate dosage. |
5 |
Jar Test: |
Put a sample of effluent in a beaker and add it as designated, agitate for 1 minute at 100-120 rpm and then slowly agitate at 60rpm. Determine the flocs properly at this time and note the sedimentation and clarity of top solution. |
