Cationic Polymer Used In Water Treatment
Cationic polymers are frequently used in water treatment as flocculants or coagulants. These polymers carry a favorable charge, which makes them effective at binding and attracting adversely charged particles in water, such as dirt, organic matter, and other contaminants.
When added to water, cationic polymers can reduce the effects of the negative charges on particles, causing them to clump together into bigger, more quickly removable particles called flocs. These flocs can then be gotten rid of through processes such as flotation, sedimentation, or filtration.
Cationic Polyacrylamide is one of the main cationic polymer.
Description:
- Blufloc is a cationic polyacrylamide featuring a medium charge density and high molecular weight, and it is utilized for municipal water treatment and sludge dewatering. This product finds application in various liquid-solid separation systems across diverse industries, including raw water treatment, wastewater clarification, and sludge dewatering.
- Blufloc possesses unique characteristics that set it apart from other products, such as superior cleaning performance, exceptional floc formation, rapid settling, improved filter clarity, high filtration capacity, complete miscibility in water, and proficiency in filter cake washing. Its versatility makes it suitable for use in various industries, including petroleum, paper-making, metallurgy, industrial wastewater treatment, and sewage. Among the functions it performs are sludge thickening, clarification, dewatering, and water recovery.

Application and Solution Making :
-
It is recommended to disperse and dissolve Blufloc dry CPAM flocculants in a concentration of 0.1-0.5%. Dissolution should take 1 hour with agitation but will be faster in warm water. However, the water temperature should not exceed 50 C.
-
Dewatering using belt filters, centrifuges, and screw presses - increased production, cake solids, and solids capture.
-
Clarification improves the quality of influent, process, and effluent water by reducing suspended solids and turbidity.
-
Flotation with dissolved air - results in cleaner supernatants, increased floating solids, and greater throughput.
-
Improve the quality and throughput of filtered water.
-
This product is suitable for treating domestic sewage and organic wastewater, such as that generated by ethyl alcohol, paper manufacturing, Ajinomoto factories, sugaring, foraging, printing, and dyeing textiles. Water treatment for municipal sewage, sludge sediment, and food processing wastewater.
