Blufloc APAM is a 20–100 mesh anionic polyacrylamide powder with a minimum solid content of 89%. Suitable grades may be evaluated for sugar juice clarification after confirming the exact polymer identity, supporting documentation and permitted conditions for the intended food process and market.
Sugar juice clarification separates suspended impurities and coagulated material while retaining the dissolved sugar in the liquid phase. The quality of clarification depends on juice preparation, temperature, pH, the upstream reaction and the operation of the clarifier. Polymer selection is one part of that complete process.
A compatible APAM can assist particle bridging and floc growth after the clarification chemistry has formed separable solids. Bluwat evaluates the grade against juice characteristics and the plant's quality requirements. Industrial PAM specifications alone do not establish suitability for direct addition to a food stream.
Support floc growth in a documented and compatible sugar clarification process.
Compare settling response against clarified-juice quality and mud handling.
Offer a granular powder format for controlled make-up and dosing.
Link grade selection to both technical performance and use documentation.

Molecular weight and charge ranges describe the product family. Confirm the selected grade and current batch specification with Bluwat. The pH of a 1% product solution is a test parameter, not the required plant operating pH.
First confirm that the proposed grade is permitted for the exact juice application. Use representative juice under the plant's relevant temperature and pretreatment conditions. Prepare the polymer in a separate unit using suitable water, dose only within the confirmed use conditions and provide sufficient contact for floc growth. Validate promising tests in the clarifier before adopting a routine feed setting.
Compare charge and molecular weight using the existing clarification chemistry. Test the dose range allowed for the documented grade and destination market rather than applying a generic wastewater dose. A 0.1–0.5% make-up solution is not the permissible concentration in juice. Bulk supply also requires hygienically suitable handling and preparation practices for the specific production system.
Assess clarified-juice turbidity, suspended matter, settling behavior, mud volume and downstream filterability. Follow the plant's sugar quality measurements and check whether polymer selection affects solids carryover. Establish a product-quality baseline before claiming any effect on sugar recovery or processing efficiency.
Prepare a 0.1–0.5% solution by mass using clean water. Add powder gradually to moving water to avoid lumps. Allow around one hour for dissolution, adjusting for grade, water quality and temperature. The TDS gives 200–400 rpm as a mixing reference; adapt mixing to the actual tank and impeller. Avoid unnecessary high shear after dissolution. A 0.1% solution contains 1 kg of product per 1,000 kg of final solution. Select the treatment dose separately through controlled trials.
Featured packaging is a 750 kg net big bag. Store the dry product sealed at 0–35 °C, protected from moisture and direct sunlight. The stated shelf life is two years under specified storage conditions. Reseal opened packaging and follow the current SDS for handling and spill cleanup.
No. Confirm the specific grade, polymer composition and permitted application before using it in the food stream.
No. It is a physical product specification. Food process suitability requires additional grade-specific evidence.
No. Residual monomer is one parameter; polymer identity, intended use, dose conditions and documentation must also be checked.
It supports screening only. Complete the required use review and validate juice quality and clarifier performance before routine dosing.
Bluwat Chemicals is a China-based manufacturer and exporter of water treatment chemicals and functional polymers. Our business began in 2000, the company was formally established in 2002, and our Yixing factory began production in 2004. Our portfolio includes Blufloc PAM powder and emulsions, BWD-01 Water Decoloring Agent, PAC, PolyDADMAC, Polyamine and ACH. We help customers compare suitable products through wastewater characterization and application testing.
ISO 9001 concerns manufacturer quality management. Confirm grade-specific suitability for any direct food process or food and feed recovery use.
Tell Bluwat the sugar process, destination market, juice conditions and documentation requirements so the appropriate APAM grade and evaluation scope can be confirmed.
