Blufloc APAM can be evaluated for collecting suspended starch-bearing fines from compatible process water. Its specified pH is 6–8 in a 1% aqueous solution. Product selection depends on the suspended solids, separation equipment and the intended destination of both recovered solids and clarified water.
Starch-bearing process water may carry fine granules that escape screening or other physical separation. Collecting these fines can reduce the solids load sent to wastewater treatment. However, the recovered material may also contain fiber, protein or other suspended matter, so recovery should not be described as purification without analysis.
APAM assists aggregation of compatible suspended particles so that they can be separated by the selected process. It does not recover dissolved carbohydrates merely by making the water look clear. If solids or water are to re-enter food or feed production, confirm the specific polymer's suitability for that return path before dosing.
Support capture of suspended starch-bearing fines from suitable water streams.
Compare solids recovery with overflow quality and product composition.
Match charge and molecular weight to the selected separation equipment.
Separate product solution pH from the process operating pH decision.

Molecular weight and charge ranges describe the product family. Confirm the selected grade and current batch specification with Bluwat. The pH of a 1% product solution is a test parameter, not the required plant operating pH.
Identify a starch-bearing stream after the existing primary recovery steps. Measure its solids and confirm the intended destination of recovered material. Prepare APAM separately, test several suitable grades and compare separation at the available residence time. Where process return is proposed, complete the grade-specific use review and verify the recovered material's quality before any production return.
The pH 6–8 specification is measured on a 1% product solution; it is not an instruction to set every starch recovery stream to that pH. Select the treatment conditions from granule stability, process compatibility and trials. Avoid unnecessary heating or chemistry changes during screening that could alter starch behavior and make the result unrepresentative.
Measure feed and separated-stream suspended solids, starch content where relevant, recovered solids dry mass and clarified-water quality. Use a solids balance to quantify recovery. Include the composition and usability of the recovered fraction rather than treating all captured dry matter as saleable starch.
Prepare a 0.1–0.5% solution by mass using clean water. Add powder gradually to moving water to avoid lumps. Allow around one hour for dissolution, adjusting for grade, water quality and temperature. The TDS gives 200–400 rpm as a mixing reference; adapt mixing to the actual tank and impeller. Avoid unnecessary high shear after dissolution. A 0.1% solution contains 1 kg of product per 1,000 kg of final solution. Select the treatment dose separately through controlled trials.
Featured packaging is a 25 kg kraft paper bag with an inner plastic liner. Store the dry product sealed at 0–35 °C, protected from moisture and direct sunlight. The stated shelf life is two years under specified storage conditions. Reseal opened packaging and follow the current SDS for handling and spill cleanup.
Its main role is aggregation of suspended particles. Dissolved sugars are not generally removed by ordinary flocculation.
No. Confirm its composition, the polymer's permitted use and all relevant process quality requirements.
No. It is the pH specification of a 1% aqueous product solution.
Only after its quality, residuals and the specific polymer use have been assessed for that return application.
Bluwat Chemicals is a China-based manufacturer and exporter of water treatment chemicals and functional polymers. Our business began in 2000, the company was formally established in 2002, and our Yixing factory began production in 2004. Our portfolio includes Blufloc PAM powder and emulsions, BWD-01 Water Decoloring Agent, PAC, PolyDADMAC, Polyamine and ACH. We help customers compare suitable products through wastewater characterization and application testing.
ISO 9001 concerns manufacturer quality management. Confirm grade-specific suitability for any direct food process or food and feed recovery use.
Provide Bluwat with process-water solids data, the current recovery step and the intended use of recovered material to discuss suitable APAM evaluation conditions.
