Blufloc APAM is a powder flocculant for evaluating fine-solids separation from compatible corn starch process water. The dry product has a minimum solid content of 89% and a stated two-year shelf life under specified storage conditions. Featured packaging is a 750 kg net big bag.
Corn processing water streams may contain fine starch, protein-associated solids, fiber and other material. Their suitability for polymer-assisted clarification depends on where they arise and where the separated water goes next. Process water, food production streams and final wastewater should be identified separately during selection.
APAM can be screened for aggregation of compatible suspended particles after existing physical separation or suitable coagulation. It is not a replacement for primary starch and protein separation equipment. If treated water or solids return to production, the exact grade and intended use must be confirmed before routine addition.
Evaluate fine-solids removal after existing corn processing separation steps.
Compare overflow quality with the handling of the captured solids.
Support bulk powder use where suitable preparation equipment is installed.
Provide documented dry-product solid content and storage specifications.

Molecular weight and charge ranges describe the product family. Confirm the selected grade and current batch specification with Bluwat. The pH of a 1% product solution is a test parameter, not the required plant operating pH.
Map the selected water stream and any return to production. Establish baseline suspended solids, temperature and pH. Following any required use review, prepare APAM separately and test it at the proposed process point. Validate separation at the available residence time and examine whether the resulting liquid meets the needs of its next process step.
Check conductivity, solids composition and any cleaning-related changes that enter the stream. Compare grades without assuming that all corn starch plant waters share one optimum. For 750 kg supply, confirm unloading, humidity control and make-up capacity. The two-year shelf life concerns dry powder stored as directed; prepared solution requires separate age and quality management.
Measure suspended solids in the feed and clarified liquid, recovered dry mass, settling or flotation response and the actual downstream acceptance parameters. Test starch or protein content where recovery value matters. Report both the captured fraction and the dissolved load remaining in the water.
Prepare a 0.1–0.5% solution by mass using clean water. Add powder gradually to moving water to avoid lumps. Allow around one hour for dissolution, adjusting for grade, water quality and temperature. The TDS gives 200–400 rpm as a mixing reference; adapt mixing to the actual tank and impeller. Avoid unnecessary high shear after dissolution. A 0.1% solution contains 1 kg of product per 1,000 kg of final solution. Select the treatment dose separately through controlled trials.
Featured packaging is a 750 kg net big bag. Store the dry product sealed at 0–35 °C, protected from moisture and direct sunlight. The stated shelf life is two years under specified storage conditions. Reseal opened packaging and follow the current SDS for handling and spill cleanup.
It is evaluated for an appropriate fine-solids clarification duty. Existing process separation should be assessed on its own requirements.
No. Confirm the specific stream, return path and grade-specific permitted use.
Correctly stored dry product. It does not specify how long a made-up polymer solution remains suitable.
Use measured flow, solids concentration and recovered-material composition. Do not equate all removed suspended solids with valuable starch.
Bluwat Chemicals is a China-based manufacturer and exporter of water treatment chemicals and functional polymers. Our business began in 2000, the company was formally established in 2002, and our Yixing factory began production in 2004. Our portfolio includes Blufloc PAM powder and emulsions, BWD-01 Water Decoloring Agent, PAC, PolyDADMAC, Polyamine and ACH. We help customers compare suitable products through wastewater characterization and application testing.
ISO 9001 concerns manufacturer quality management. Confirm grade-specific suitability for any direct food process or food and feed recovery use.
Share your corn starch water circuit, solids analysis and proposed reuse or recovery route with Bluwat to define the correct APAM trial and documentation scope.
