Blufloc APAM is an off-white 20–100 mesh powder for evaluating recovery of fine grain-associated suspended solids from selected alcohol plant effluent streams. The recovered fraction must be assessed for composition and intended use; the industrial product specification does not establish suitability for feed manufacture.
Alcohol plants can lose fine grain particles through process water or separation steps. These particles should be distinguished from dissolved organics and from solids mixed with unrelated wastewater. Recovering a segregated fine-solids stream may be a different task from treating the plant's final combined effluent.
APAM can help compatible suspended particles form separable aggregates after the existing physical recovery stages. Captured material may contain fiber, protein, fine grain residues and other solids. Calling the fraction distillers grains does not establish its feed value or authorize its return to an animal-feed product.
Support screening of fine grain-associated solids after primary separation.
Compare capture and liquid clarity using a defined effluent stream.
Assess recovered-solids handling before committing to a recovery route.
Provide a granular dry-polymer format for suitable bulk preparation systems.

Molecular weight and charge ranges describe the product family. Confirm the selected grade and current batch specification with Bluwat. The pH of a 1% product solution is a test parameter, not the required plant operating pH.
Identify the source stream and separate it from unrelated cleaning or contaminated wastewater where the recovery plan requires this. Review the intended use of the solids and confirm any required grade-specific suitability. Prepare APAM separately, screen grades and evaluate the selected separator. Test the recovered material before approving any feed, food or industrial reuse route.
Check feed solids, particle size, temperature, conductivity and whether upstream chemicals enter the stream. A grade for final effluent clarification should not automatically be used in a feed recovery circuit. Compare the polymer option with improvements to screens or centrifuges, and select a process that captures useful material without creating an unacceptable residue or water-quality burden.
Use flow and dry-solids measurements to quantify capture. Analyze the recovered fraction for the properties relevant to its destination rather than assuming all dry mass is useful grain product. Measure residual suspended solids and dissolved organic load in the liquid so downstream treatment needs remain clear.
Prepare a 0.1–0.5% solution by mass using clean water. Add powder gradually to moving water to avoid lumps. Allow around one hour for dissolution, adjusting for grade, water quality and temperature. The TDS gives 200–400 rpm as a mixing reference; adapt mixing to the actual tank and impeller. Avoid unnecessary high shear after dissolution. A 0.1% solution contains 1 kg of product per 1,000 kg of final solution. Select the treatment dose separately through controlled trials.
Featured packaging is a 750 kg net big bag. Store the dry product sealed at 0–35 °C, protected from moisture and direct sunlight. The stated shelf life is two years under specified storage conditions. Reseal opened packaging and follow the current SDS for handling and spill cleanup.
Its principal function here is aggregation of suspended solids. Dissolved substances require other recovery or treatment methods.
That decision requires material analysis and confirmation that the polymer and process are suitable for the specific feed use.
Only if that is the actual intended stream. A segregated process stream can have very different composition and recovery potential.
No. Evaluate the existing physical separation first and define the fine-solids duty for which polymer assistance is being considered.
Bluwat Chemicals is a China-based manufacturer and exporter of water treatment chemicals and functional polymers. Our business began in 2000, the company was formally established in 2002, and our Yixing factory began production in 2004. Our portfolio includes Blufloc PAM powder and emulsions, BWD-01 Water Decoloring Agent, PAC, PolyDADMAC, Polyamine and ACH. We help customers compare suitable products through wastewater characterization and application testing.
ISO 9001 concerns manufacturer quality management. Confirm grade-specific suitability for any direct food process or food and feed recovery use.
Send Bluwat the alcohol plant stream diagram, fine-solids data and recovered-material destination to discuss an appropriately scoped APAM recovery trial.
