Description:   

 

  1. Yixing Bluwat Anionic Polyacrylamide AA-6516 grade (APAM) is a water-soluble polymer formed from acrylamide (a compound with the molecular formula C3H5NO) subunits.
  2. It is Copolymer Acrylamide and acrylic acid.
  3.  Anionic Polyacrylamide has a big range of high molecular weights from 5-25 million, with an anionic charge density ranging from 10-60%.
  4. It is most often used to increase the viscosity of water (creating a thicker solution) or to encourage the flocculation of particles present in water.
  5. Mainly used for various industrial wastewater flocculation sedimentation, sedimentation, and clarification treatment, such as iron and steel plant wastewater, electroplating wastewater, wastewater metallurgy, coal washing wastewater treatment, and sludge dewatering. Can also be used to clarify and drinking water purification treatment, and sugar & juice mills.
  6. Soluble in water, safe, non-toxic, hydrolytic stable, is not sensitive to the change of pH value, anti-chlorine. Harmless, non-flammable, and non-explosive, it can be stored at room temperature, it cannot be placed in the sun. It is slightly acidic, when skin contact, wash immediately with plenty of water.

Blufloc A-6516 Grade Functional Principle

Flocculation Mechanism:

Adsorbing suspension particles, polymer chains entangle and cross-link each other to form bridging and make flocculation structure enlarge and thicken, and have the functions of surface adsorption and electric neutralization.

Reinforcing Mechanism:

PAM molecule chain and dispersed phase form bridging bonds, ion bonds, and covalent bonds to increase combination strength.

 

Blufloc A-6516 Grade Application Methods:

Dissolving 

concentration:

Polyacrylamide (polyelectrolyte/flocculant) should be standardly dissolved to 0.1-0.5% concentration.

Dissolving 

time:

The time required to dissolve the flocculant varies according to the type of flocculant, water quality, temperature, and agitation. However, most flocculants generally require around 1 hour of agitation to completely dissolve the powder. An incomplete mixture of flocculants or lumping may inhibit the performance of the flocculant.

Agitation 

speed: 

The ideal revolution of the agitator is between 200-400rpm. A high-speed agitator operating without reducing the revolution of a motor is not advised, since it may cut the molecules of the flocculant. An ideal agitator motor should be 1HP for a 1-2m3 mixing tank.

Application 

and Dosage:

The dosage range varies from 1 - 3.0 ppm depending upon the type of effluent and application. You are advised to do jar tests for evaluating the functioning and approximate dosage.

Jar Test: 

Put a sample of effluent in a beaker and add it as designated, agitate for 1 minute at 100-120 rpm, and then slowly agitate at 60 rpm. Determine the flocs properly at this time and note the sedimentation and clarity of the top solution.
