Blufloc CPAM is a water-soluble cationic polyacrylamide powder for conditioning textile dyeing wastewater sludge before mechanical dewatering. Its pH specification is 4–6 when measured in a 1% aqueous solution. Grade selection depends on sludge composition, chemical pretreatment and the dewatering equipment.
Dyeing effluent treatment can generate a mixture of chemical sludge, biological solids, fibers and captured color-bearing material. The proportion of each component changes with fabric type, dye recipes and upstream coagulant use. A polymer that works on one sludge blend may give weak drainage or cloudy filtrate after production changes.
Blufloc CPAM helps compatible sludge particles aggregate through adsorption, charge interactions and polymer bridging. The objective is a floc structure that releases water and withstands the transfer conditions before the press or centrifuge. The product is selected for the sludge line; dye removal from raw wastewater is a separate treatment task.
Condition fine dyeing sludge for improved water release during equipment trials.
Compare cationic charge and molecular weight against actual sludge blends.
Support solids capture while monitoring filtrate or centrate quality.
Use bulk packaging with a suitable dry-polymer preparation system.

Molecular weight and charge ranges describe the product family. Confirm the selected grade and current batch specification with Bluwat. The pH of a 1% product solution is a test parameter, not the required plant operating pH.
Collect representative sludge after thickening and record its solids concentration. Prepare CPAM separately, then introduce the matured solution into a well-mixed sludge line before dewatering. Compare the existing operating condition with several polymer doses. Repeat the best condition on the intended screw press, belt press or centrifuge, because beaker floc size alone does not predict cake dryness.
Screen more than one cationic charge level where chemical and biological sludge are blended. Residual PAC, ferric salts, decoloring agents, salinity and feed variability can change the response. Increase dosage only after checking solution preparation and feed consistency. The specified 1% solution pH of 4–6 is a quality-control measurement, not a requirement to acidify the sludge to that range.
Record polymer use per tonne of dry solids, cake dry solids, filtrate suspended solids, machine throughput and cleaning frequency. Compare results at similar feed solids and equipment settings. This reveals whether an apparent improvement comes from the polymer or from a change in sludge concentration.
Prepare a 0.1–0.5% solution by mass using clean water. Add powder gradually to moving water to avoid lumps. Allow around one hour for dissolution, adjusting for grade, water quality and temperature. The TDS gives 200–400 rpm as a mixing reference; adapt mixing to the actual tank and impeller. Avoid unnecessary high shear after dissolution. A 0.1% solution contains 1 kg of product per 1,000 kg of final solution. Select the treatment dose separately through controlled trials.
Featured packaging is a 750 kg net big bag. Store the dry product sealed at 0–35 °C, protected from moisture and direct sunlight. The stated shelf life is two years under specified storage conditions. Reseal opened packaging and follow the current SDS for handling and spill cleanup.
No. It describes the pH of a 1% product solution. Select the sludge operating pH from process compatibility and treatment trials.
Not automatically. CPAM here conditions sludge. Dissolved color may require a separate decoloring and coagulation stage upstream.
Screw presses, belt presses and centrifuges can be assessed, with grade and dosing conditions matched to each machine.
Provide sludge origin, dry solids, pH, existing chemicals, machine type and the main limitation, such as wet cake or poor solids capture.
