Blufloc CPAM is a cationic powder polymer for conditioning denim washing wastewater sludge. The recommended solution preparation range is 0.1–0.5%. A suitable grade is selected against lint content, mineral fines, biological solids and the drainage requirements of the dewatering machine.
Denim washing plants may produce sludge containing cotton lint, indigo-associated solids, mineral abrasion fines and biological material. Enzyme washing, stone washing and finishing operations can generate different sludge blends, so a grade selected during one production campaign should be checked when the washing process changes.
CPAM promotes aggregation of compatible fine particles into a structure that can retain solids while releasing water. The practical objective is reliable dewatering at the plant feed rate. Very large flocs are not always desirable if they break in the transfer line or hold water inside a loose structure.
Support capture of fine denim sludge particles and lint-associated solids.
Provide a defined 0.1–0.5% solution preparation range.
Help compare drainage response under representative shear conditions.
Enable grade selection around changing denim washing recipes.

Molecular weight and charge ranges describe the product family. Confirm the selected grade and current batch specification with Bluwat. The pH of a 1% product solution is a test parameter, not the required plant operating pH.
Screen coarse lint before sludge pumping where the process requires it. Characterize the thickened sludge, prepare CPAM in a separate make-up unit and introduce the matured solution before the conditioning zone. Test several doses at a consistent sludge concentration. Follow beaker or drainage screening with a machine trial that includes normal start-up and production fluctuations.
The 0.1–0.5% figure describes prepared solution concentration, not the dosage to the sludge. Determine feed rate from dry-solids loading, product demand and pumping capability. Compare charge levels where the balance of mineral fines and organic sludge varies. If flocs look stringy or filtrate becomes viscous, check overdosing and dilution before changing the machine settings.
Assess drainage rate, filtrate clarity, cake dry solids and polymer use per tonne of dry solids. Record whether lint blocks screens or disrupts sampling. Keep the feed solids and press loading similar when comparing grades, particularly after a change in stone washing intensity.
Prepare a 0.1–0.5% solution by mass using clean water. Add powder gradually to moving water to avoid lumps. Allow around one hour for dissolution, adjusting for grade, water quality and temperature. The TDS gives 200–400 rpm as a mixing reference; adapt mixing to the actual tank and impeller. Avoid unnecessary high shear after dissolution. A 0.1% solution contains 1 kg of product per 1,000 kg of final solution. Select the treatment dose separately through controlled trials.
Featured packaging is a 25 kg PE bag with an inner plastic liner. Store the dry product sealed at 0–35 °C, protected from moisture and direct sunlight. The stated shelf life is two years under specified storage conditions. Reseal opened packaging and follow the current SDS for handling and spill cleanup.
No. It is the concentration of the polymer make-up solution. Treatment dosage must be established separately.
Prepare and fully dissolve the powder first. Direct addition can create lumps and uneven conditioning.
Lint, dyes, abrasion fines and cleaning chemicals can change the sludge composition and polymer demand.
No. Select the condition that provides useful drainage, solids capture and cake performance after realistic mixing and transfer.
