Emulsifier Inhibitor For Oil Spill Processing Marine Oil Wastewater Effluent |
Demulsifiers, or demulsifying agents, play a crucial role in oil spill processing and marine oil wastewater treatment by enabling efficient oil-water separation. Here’s an overview of their key applications:
Oil Spill Cleanup: Demulsifiers break down oil-water emulsions formed in marine environments after oil spills, allowing oil to be separated and recovered more easily, which accelerates cleanup efforts.
Marine Wastewater Treatment: In marine oil wastewater, demulsifiers help separate dispersed oil, reducing the oil content in effluents before discharge and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.
Effluent Quality Improvement: By effectively removing oil from wastewater, demulsifiers improve the quality of treated effluent, helping to minimize the ecological impact on marine ecosystems.
Resource Recovery: Demulsifiers facilitate the recovery of oil from wastewater, which can be reused or safely disposed of, contributing to resource conservation and waste minimization.
This product is a reverse emulsifier, a composite polymer water treatment agent characterized by numerous positively charged groups along its molecular chain. It is a highly effective cationic polymer. With its powerful reverse emulsification capability, it can significantly lower the interfacial tension of oil-in-water (W/O) or water-in-oil (O/W) emulsions. This process destabilizes the emulsions by neutralizing the repulsive and attractive forces of oils or colloidal particles in wastewater, resulting in the formation of flocs. Through further chemical bridging, it facilitates the separation of oil and water, as well as the removal of harmful impurities in the wastewater, achieving the goals of oil recovery and wastewater purification. The emulsifier is highly effective in breaking water-in-oil emulsions, reducing oil-water separation time, and is water-soluble and effective across a broad pH range.

Add the product directly to the wastewater either in its original form or diluted, then stir and allow it to settle. For optimal results, use in conjunction with PAC and PAM. The ideal pH range for application is 5-12, with pronounced demulsification and flocculation effects around pH=9. The dosing point is typically selected in the rapid mixing tank of the sewage treatment process. The dosage varies depending on the type of wastewater, generally ranging from 50-1000ppm.
