Blufloc CPAM is a cationic powder flocculant for conditioning brewery wastewater sludge. The family molecular weight range is 5–12 million, with a minimum solid content of 89%. Selection should reflect biological sludge content, captured yeast-associated solids and the dewatering equipment.
Brewery wastewater treatment sludge can vary with fermentation losses, cleaning operations, upstream flotation and the biological treatment system. Waste activated sludge, anaerobic sludge and chemically separated material may dewater differently. Their source and blend must be identified before comparing polymers.
CPAM supports aggregation of compatible organic sludge into flocs that can retain solids and release water during mechanical dewatering. The preferred molecular weight is the one that performs under the machine's mixing and separation conditions. A higher value within the family range does not by itself guarantee a drier cake.
Condition compatible organic brewery wastewater sludge before dewatering.
Compare molecular weight and charge against the actual sludge source.
Assess drainage and capture through representative transfer conditions.
Support performance-based selection beyond a single viscosity number.

Molecular weight and charge ranges describe the product family. Confirm the selected grade and current batch specification with Bluwat. The pH of a 1% product solution is a test parameter, not the required plant operating pH.
Take a representative sample from the sludge feed used by the dewatering machine. Record the contribution from biological and flotation sludge where they are blended. Prepare CPAM separately and compare grades at controlled dose and feed solids. Confirm the selected condition during normal production and after cleaning-related wastewater loads have passed through treatment.
Screen charge and molecular weight together. Biological sludge structure, digestion and residual coagulants can change the optimum. Use drainage screening for initial comparison, followed by a trial on the intended screw press, belt press or centrifuge. Keep polymer solution age, make-up water and mixing consistent so that preparation differences do not distort the comparison.
Record cake dry solids, filtrate or centrate suspended solids, throughput and polymer use per dry tonne. Where digestion is involved, compare similar sludge conditions. Evaluate the effect on return-liquid solids loading as well as on cake transport and handling.
Prepare a 0.1–0.5% solution by mass using clean water. Add powder gradually to moving water to avoid lumps. Allow around one hour for dissolution, adjusting for grade, water quality and temperature. The TDS gives 200–400 rpm as a mixing reference; adapt mixing to the actual tank and impeller. Avoid unnecessary high shear after dissolution. A 0.1% solution contains 1 kg of product per 1,000 kg of final solution. Select the treatment dose separately through controlled trials.
Featured packaging is a 25 kg kraft paper bag with an inner plastic liner. Store the dry product sealed at 0–35 °C, protected from moisture and direct sunlight. The stated shelf life is two years under specified storage conditions. Reseal opened packaging and follow the current SDS for handling and spill cleanup.
This page concerns wastewater sludge conditioning. It does not establish suitability for direct addition to beer or other food products.
No. Match molecular weight and charge to the sludge and machine; compare complete dewatering performance.
They may respond differently. Test each actual stream or the normal blend.
Poor solids capture can increase the load returned to wastewater treatment even if the cake appears acceptable.
