Blufloc APAM is a water-soluble anionic polymer powder with a maximum residual monomer specification of 0.05%. For borehole-wall stability programs, a suitable grade is selected through fluid and formation testing. The product is one component of a complete drilling-fluid design, supplied here in 25 kg kraft paper bags.
Borehole instability can arise from chemical interaction with shale, mechanical stress, erosion or a combination of factors. Where water sensitivity and cuttings dispersion are relevant, a compatible anionic polymer may be evaluated as part of the fluid's inhibition and solids-management program.
Bluwat approaches this application through grade selection and representative testing. A low residual-monomer specification is an important purchasing characteristic, but it does not establish wellbore-stabilization performance. Mud density, hydraulics, formation conditions and the complete additive package must remain part of the engineering assessment.
The residual monomer limit gives buyers a defined product-quality criterion for technical comparison.
Grade selection can focus on limiting dispersion while maintaining workable mud rheology.
Dry powder packaging supports staged preparation for different intervals and fluid-maintenance needs.

Molecular weight and anionic degree are family ranges, not a single grade specification. Confirm the selected grade and agreed supply criteria before ordering. ISO 9001 refers to the manufacturer’s quality management system, not a guarantee of application performance.
Describe the instability symptoms and provide shale information, fluid composition, water chemistry and expected temperature exposure. Separate hydration-related behavior from mechanically driven collapse or erosion so the chemical screening addresses the actual problem.
Choose candidate grades using both shale-response tests and fluid-property limits. The pH of a 1% product solution is not a borehole operating-pH recommendation. Likewise, the 0–35°C storage range describes powder storage and does not define the polymer's downhole temperature capability.
Establish the baseline shale dispersion or recovery response in the planned drilling fluid.
Compare APAM grades under representative chemical exposure and aging conditions, keeping the other additives unchanged.
Examine cuttings integrity together with rheology, filtration and any evidence of excessive solids agglomeration.
Use the selected formulation in a controlled interval evaluation with drilling-fluid and wellbore-condition monitoring.
Use clean, compatible make-up water and add the powder gradually into an established mixing flow. Avoid dumping powder in one location, which can create lumps with dry cores. The TDS gives 0.1–0.5% as general solution-preparation guidance. If specified on an as-supplied powder mass basis, this corresponds to 1–5 kg of powder per 1,000 kg of final solution; agree the concentration basis for the project.
Allow approximately one hour of agitation as a starting reference, then confirm complete hydration. Water quality, temperature, grade and equipment affect the required time. The TDS’s 200–400 rpm reference is equipment dependent and should not be scaled to a different tank solely by rpm. Avoid severe shear after hydration. Determine the final treatment dosage through the application tests described above.
The featured packaging is a 25 kg kraft paper bag with an inner plastic liner. The TDS also lists 25 kg kraft paper or PE bags and 750 kg net big bags. Store powder dry, protected from direct sunlight and at 0–35°C. Keep opened packaging tightly closed. Consult the current SDS for handling, spill control and personal protection.
Bluwat Chemicals is a China-based manufacturer and exporter of water treatment chemicals and functional polymers. Our business began in 2000, Bluwat was formally established in 2002, and our Yixing factory began production in 2004. We operate three production bases, including Yixing and Huaibei, and have supplied a cumulative 800,000 tonnes of products to customers in around 100 countries and regions. Our portfolio includes BWD-01 Water Decoloring Agent, PAM powder and emulsions, PolyDADMAC, Polyamine, PAC, Ferric Sulphate and ACH.
Our production and export background supports technical communication and supply planning for overseas industrial buyers.
We help customers compare wastewater or process conditions, treatment objectives and suitable chemical combinations before choosing a product.
Our coagulants, flocculants and specialty chemicals support projects in oil and gas, mining, textiles, pulp and paper, and municipal water treatment.
Our ISO 9001 quality management system and agreed grade specifications provide a basis for purchasing discussions. Application performance is verified through the relevant trials.
A polymer additive cannot substitute for the required geomechanical and hydraulic design. First determine whether chemical shale interaction is a meaningful contributor to the instability.
No. It is a chemical specification and does not establish certification for drinking water or any particular discharge use. Review the selected grade and intended application separately.
No. The 0–35°C value concerns storage. Application temperature suitability requires grade-specific fluid testing and thermal-aging evaluation.
Send Bluwat the instability symptoms, formation information and fluid recipe to discuss appropriate APAM testing and 25 kg kraft paper bag supply.
