Blufloc APAM is available for screening in polymer-flood projects seeking improved displacement coverage. The TDS recommends 0.1–0.5% solution preparation as a general reference; final injection concentration and any sweep benefit require reservoir-specific evaluation. The featured supply option is a 25 kg PE bag.
In a heterogeneous reservoir, injected water may preferentially follow easier flow paths and leave some zones poorly contacted. A polymer flood is designed around the behavior of the injected fluid and its interaction with the reservoir. Sweep efficiency is therefore a reservoir-scale objective, rather than a property certified by the powder specification.
Bluwat APAM candidates can be evaluated for viscosity development and compatibility as part of that design. Their usefulness must be demonstrated through injection-water testing, stability assessment and displacement studies. The general TDS does not establish a specific increase in contacted reservoir volume or incremental oil recovery.
A concentration-series approach allows polymer choice to be linked to a defined displacement-fluid target.
Dry powder provides a practical format for laboratory qualification and preparation-system development.
Grade comparison can include viscosity retention and injection behavior before a reservoir model or pilot is finalized.

Molecular weight and anionic degree are family ranges, not a single grade specification. Confirm the selected grade and agreed supply criteria before ordering. ISO 9001 refers to the manufacturer’s quality management system, not a guarantee of application performance.
Provide reservoir heterogeneity, permeability distribution, oil viscosity, water chemistry, temperature and the planned injection pattern. Identify the expected sweep limitation and the basis of the target viscosity rather than selecting a polymer solely from a general EOR label.
Connect laboratory results to reservoir-core testing and simulation where appropriate. Polymer retention, inaccessible flow paths and pressure constraints can affect the field response. A grade that passes solution tests still needs a displacement evaluation before an improvement claim is justified.
Set a project-specific viscosity and injection-quality target using the reservoir assessment.
Screen APAM grades in representative water and evaluate hydration, filterability and viscosity retention.
Run suitable core-flood or displacement comparisons against the base-water case and record retention and pressure behavior.
Use the results to refine the injection plan and decide whether a monitored field pilot is justified.
Use clean, compatible make-up water and add the powder gradually into an established mixing flow. Avoid dumping powder in one location, which can create lumps with dry cores. The TDS gives 0.1–0.5% as general solution-preparation guidance. If specified on an as-supplied powder mass basis, this corresponds to 1–5 kg of powder per 1,000 kg of final solution; agree the concentration basis for the project.
Allow approximately one hour of agitation as a starting reference, then confirm complete hydration. Water quality, temperature, grade and equipment affect the required time. The TDS’s 200–400 rpm reference is equipment dependent and should not be scaled to a different tank solely by rpm. Avoid severe shear after hydration. Determine the final treatment dosage through the application tests described above.
The featured packaging is a 25 kg PE bag with an inner plastic liner. The TDS also lists 25 kg kraft paper or PE bags and 750 kg net big bags. Store powder dry, protected from direct sunlight and at 0–35°C. Keep opened packaging tightly closed. Consult the current SDS for handling, spill control and personal protection.
Bluwat Chemicals is a China-based manufacturer and exporter of water treatment chemicals and functional polymers. Our business began in 2000, Bluwat was formally established in 2002, and our Yixing factory began production in 2004. We operate three production bases, including Yixing and Huaibei, and have supplied a cumulative 800,000 tonnes of products to customers in around 100 countries and regions. Our portfolio includes BWD-01 Water Decoloring Agent, PAM powder and emulsions, PolyDADMAC, Polyamine, PAC, Ferric Sulphate and ACH.
Our production and export background supports technical communication and supply planning for overseas industrial buyers.
We help customers compare wastewater or process conditions, treatment objectives and suitable chemical combinations before choosing a product.
Our coagulants, flocculants and specialty chemicals support projects in oil and gas, mining, textiles, pulp and paper, and municipal water treatment.
Our ISO 9001 quality management system and agreed grade specifications provide a basis for purchasing discussions. Application performance is verified through the relevant trials.
No. The result depends on reservoir structure, fluid properties, polymer compatibility and the injection design. It must be evaluated for the particular project.
No. A soluble polymer-flood formulation and a crosslinked conformance treatment have different designs and purposes. Confirm the intended process before selecting the chemistry.
No. It is general solution-preparation guidance. Determine final injection concentration from the selected grade's response and the project's displacement and injectivity requirements.
