Blufloc APAM is a water-soluble anionic powder with a maximum residual monomer specification of 0.05%. It can be evaluated as a rheology-modifying component in compatible drilling fluids, with grade and dosage selected from the complete flow profile and system limits. The featured packaging is a 25 kg PE bag.
Rheology modification means controlling how a drilling fluid responds across different flow and rest conditions. A useful polymer must contribute to the desired carrying and handling behavior without producing unacceptable pressure demand, gels or solids-control problems. A single viscosity number captures only part of that requirement.
Bluwat APAM candidates can be compared for concentration response and compatibility with the mud. The selected molecular weight and charge should be documented, because the general family range includes grades with different behavior. The residual-monomer limit is a quality parameter and does not rank their rheological performance.
A grade and concentration matrix supports a measured approach to fluid-property adjustment.
Dry preparation allows the effect of hydration quality to be separated from the effect of treatment dosage.
Complete-profile testing can identify a formulation that balances low-shear behavior with circulating-fluid limits.

Molecular weight and anionic degree are family ranges, not a single grade specification. Confirm the selected grade and agreed supply criteria before ordering. ISO 9001 refers to the manufacturer’s quality management system, not a guarantee of application performance.
Define the target plastic viscosity, yield response, low-shear readings and gel development using the project's test procedure. Provide water chemistry, solids loading and the full additive list, including any materials that disperse or flocculate clay.
Compare results before and after aging and representative mechanical exposure. Avoid transferring an ambient clean-water result directly to the drilling fluid. If viscosity rises unexpectedly, examine hydration, solids accumulation and additive interaction before responding with further polymer addition.
Prepare a reproducible base mud and record its flow profile under specified instrument and temperature conditions.
Screen candidate APAM grades at several additions after complete and consistent hydration.
Measure low-shear behavior, gels, filtration and the relevant higher-shear readings before and after aging.
Choose the formulation that meets the complete acceptance envelope and define practical monitoring and adjustment rules.
Use clean, compatible make-up water and add the powder gradually into an established mixing flow. Avoid dumping powder in one location, which can create lumps with dry cores. The TDS gives 0.1–0.5% as general solution-preparation guidance. If specified on an as-supplied powder mass basis, this corresponds to 1–5 kg of powder per 1,000 kg of final solution; agree the concentration basis for the project.
Allow approximately one hour of agitation as a starting reference, then confirm complete hydration. Water quality, temperature, grade and equipment affect the required time. The TDS’s 200–400 rpm reference is equipment dependent and should not be scaled to a different tank solely by rpm. Avoid severe shear after hydration. Determine the final treatment dosage through the application tests described above.
The featured packaging is a 25 kg PE bag with an inner plastic liner. The TDS also lists 25 kg kraft paper or PE bags and 750 kg net big bags. Store powder dry, protected from direct sunlight and at 0–35°C. Keep opened packaging tightly closed. Consult the current SDS for handling, spill control and personal protection.
Bluwat Chemicals is a China-based manufacturer and exporter of water treatment chemicals and functional polymers. Our business began in 2000, Bluwat was formally established in 2002, and our Yixing factory began production in 2004. We operate three production bases, including Yixing and Huaibei, and have supplied a cumulative 800,000 tonnes of products to customers in around 100 countries and regions. Our portfolio includes BWD-01 Water Decoloring Agent, PAM powder and emulsions, PolyDADMAC, Polyamine, PAC, Ferric Sulphate and ACH.
Our production and export background supports technical communication and supply planning for overseas industrial buyers.
We help customers compare wastewater or process conditions, treatment objectives and suitable chemical combinations before choosing a product.
Our coagulants, flocculants and specialty chemicals support projects in oil and gas, mining, textiles, pulp and paper, and municipal water treatment.
Our ISO 9001 quality management system and agreed grade specifications provide a basis for purchasing discussions. Application performance is verified through the relevant trials.
No. The objective is the required flow profile and handling behavior. An excessive increase at some conditions may be undesirable.
Yes. Molecular weight, charge and fluid interactions can differ even when the supplied powder meets the same minimum-solids specification.
No. Adequate initial dispersion is necessary, but severe mechanical treatment after hydration can damage polymer chains. Use a mixing procedure appropriate to the equipment and grade.
Provide Bluwat your base-mud recipe, measured flow profile and acceptance limits to discuss APAM grade screening and 25 kg PE bag pricing.
