Blufloc APAM is available for evaluating compatible geothermal drilling-fluid duties within a grade-specific operating envelope. The anionic product family spans 5–100% anionic degree, but this range does not establish high-temperature resistance. Selection requires representative thermal-aging and fluid tests. The featured packaging is a 25 kg PE bag.
Geothermal drilling can expose fluids to demanding temperature histories and variable water chemistry. An anionic polymer may be considered only where the selected grade retains the properties needed for the actual duty. Cool surface handling conditions alone do not establish downhole suitability.
Bluwat can discuss APAM candidates for screening, with the final choice governed by evidence from the intended mud. If the project requires proven high-temperature performance, obtain the necessary grade-specific data or select an alternative chemistry through the fluid-development program. The general Blufloc TDS contains no geothermal temperature rating.
A defined polymer family supports early-stage comparison for duties that fall within a verified operating envelope.
Charge options can be screened alongside water chemistry and the complete geothermal mud recipe.
Bagged supply supports laboratory development and controlled trials before a larger procurement decision.

Molecular weight and anionic degree are family ranges, not a single grade specification. Confirm the selected grade and agreed supply criteria before ordering. ISO 9001 refers to the manufacturer’s quality management system, not a guarantee of application performance.
Provide the expected circulating and static temperatures, exposure duration, base-water chemistry, solids and other additives. Specify the properties that must be retained after aging, such as viscosity profile, filtration response and acceptable fluid appearance.
Evaluate both the make-up stage and the most demanding expected thermal exposure. A grade that dissolves well initially may not retain adequate properties after aging. Do not interpret the powder storage range of 0–35°C as an operating limit or as evidence of stability at geothermal temperatures.
Prepare candidate fluids in representative water and record their initial rheology and filtration behavior.
Age the complete formulations at project-relevant temperatures and exposure times using appropriate laboratory equipment.
Compare retained properties, visible degradation or incompatibility and the effect of representative mechanical handling.
Approve only a grade and duty supported by the test results; reassess when temperature or water chemistry changes.
Use clean, compatible make-up water and add the powder gradually into an established mixing flow. Avoid dumping powder in one location, which can create lumps with dry cores. The TDS gives 0.1–0.5% as general solution-preparation guidance. If specified on an as-supplied powder mass basis, this corresponds to 1–5 kg of powder per 1,000 kg of final solution; agree the concentration basis for the project.
Allow approximately one hour of agitation as a starting reference, then confirm complete hydration. Water quality, temperature, grade and equipment affect the required time. The TDS’s 200–400 rpm reference is equipment dependent and should not be scaled to a different tank solely by rpm. Avoid severe shear after hydration. Determine the final treatment dosage through the application tests described above.
The featured packaging is a 25 kg PE bag with an inner plastic liner. The TDS also lists 25 kg kraft paper or PE bags and 750 kg net big bags. Store powder dry, protected from direct sunlight and at 0–35°C. Keep opened packaging tightly closed. Consult the current SDS for handling, spill control and personal protection.
Bluwat Chemicals is a China-based manufacturer and exporter of water treatment chemicals and functional polymers. Our business began in 2000, Bluwat was formally established in 2002, and our Yixing factory began production in 2004. We operate three production bases, including Yixing and Huaibei, and have supplied a cumulative 800,000 tonnes of products to customers in around 100 countries and regions. Our portfolio includes BWD-01 Water Decoloring Agent, PAM powder and emulsions, PolyDADMAC, Polyamine, PAC, Ferric Sulphate and ACH.
Our production and export background supports technical communication and supply planning for overseas industrial buyers.
We help customers compare wastewater or process conditions, treatment objectives and suitable chemical combinations before choosing a product.
Our coagulants, flocculants and specialty chemicals support projects in oil and gas, mining, textiles, pulp and paper, and municipal water treatment.
Our ISO 9001 quality management system and agreed grade specifications provide a basis for purchasing discussions. Application performance is verified through the relevant trials.
No. The general TDS does not establish a high-temperature rating. Suitability must be confirmed for a specific grade, formulation and thermal exposure.
No. Charge alone does not establish thermal stability. Evaluate the exact polymer chemistry and retained fluid properties after representative aging.
It supports an initial technical inquiry. For a geothermal duty, procurement specifications should include the application data needed to confirm suitability before field use.
Send Bluwat your temperature profile, exposure duration, water analysis and required retained properties to discuss whether an APAM screening program is appropriate.
