Blufloc APAM is an anionic polymer powder with a maximum residual monomer specification of 0.05%. For EOR polymer flooding, it is offered as a candidate for reservoir-specific qualification. Selection must consider viscosity, brine compatibility, filtration, injectivity and stability. The featured format is a 750 kg net big bag.
Polymer flooding seeks a suitable displacement-fluid mobility by increasing the viscosity of the injected aqueous phase. A candidate APAM must do more than produce a thick solution: it must also be prepared reliably and pass through the intended injection system and reservoir without unacceptable pressure or retention behavior.
Bluwat's general APAM family provides a starting point for technical discussion. The TDS does not identify a reservoir-qualified EOR grade, state a viscosity guarantee in a specified brine or provide core-flood results. Confirm the selected chemistry and project-specific qualification data before planning field injection.
Dry supply enables concentration-series testing using the actual injection water and agreed preparation method.
Defined polymer-quality parameters provide a basis for purchasing discussions and incoming checks.
A range of candidate properties supports screening against both viscosity development and injection constraints.

Molecular weight and anionic degree are family ranges, not a single grade specification. Confirm the selected grade and agreed supply criteria before ordering. ISO 9001 refers to the manufacturer’s quality management system, not a guarantee of application performance.
Supply reservoir temperature, injection-water composition, calcium and magnesium levels, crude-oil viscosity, rock properties and the desired mobility target. Include injection-equipment details and the planned polymer residence time so the test program represents the whole process.
Assess dissolution quality, solution filtration, mechanical degradation, long-term aging, retention and injectivity. A low residual-monomer value does not establish low insoluble content or reservoir compatibility. Where the project demands salt-resistant or heat-resistant chemistry, request specific supporting data rather than assuming the general APAM range is sufficient.
Define the target viscosity under stated brine, temperature and shear conditions and prepare a controlled concentration series.
Evaluate hydration, solution quality and filterability using the intended make-up and injection water.
Measure viscosity retention after representative aging and mechanical handling, then perform appropriate injectivity and retention tests.
Advance to reservoir-core and pilot evaluation only after the candidate meets the project's agreed qualification criteria.
Use clean, compatible make-up water and add the powder gradually into an established mixing flow. Avoid dumping powder in one location, which can create lumps with dry cores. The TDS gives 0.1–0.5% as general solution-preparation guidance. If specified on an as-supplied powder mass basis, this corresponds to 1–5 kg of powder per 1,000 kg of final solution; agree the concentration basis for the project.
Allow approximately one hour of agitation as a starting reference, then confirm complete hydration. Water quality, temperature, grade and equipment affect the required time. The TDS’s 200–400 rpm reference is equipment dependent and should not be scaled to a different tank solely by rpm. Avoid severe shear after hydration. Determine the final treatment dosage through the application tests described above.
The featured packaging is a 750 kg net big bag. Confirm unloading, metering and moisture-protection requirements for the receiving site. The TDS also lists 25 kg kraft paper or PE bags and 750 kg net big bags. Store powder dry, protected from direct sunlight and at 0–35°C. Keep opened packaging tightly closed. Consult the current SDS for handling, spill control and personal protection.

Our business began in 2000, Bluwat was formally established in 2002, and our Yixing factory began production in 2004. We operate three production bases, including Yixing and Huaibei, and have supplied a cumulative 800,000 tonnes of products to customers in around 100 countries and regions. Our portfolio includes BWD-01 Water Decoloring Agent, PAM powder and emulsions, PolyDADMAC, Polyamine, PAC, Ferric Sulphate and ACH.
Our production and export background supports technical communication and supply planning for overseas industrial buyers.
We help customers compare wastewater or process conditions, treatment objectives and suitable chemical combinations before choosing a product.
Our coagulants, flocculants and specialty chemicals support projects in oil and gas, mining, textiles, pulp and paper, and municipal water treatment.
Our ISO 9001 quality management system and agreed grade specifications provide a basis for purchasing discussions. Application performance is verified through the relevant trials.
No. It is one compositional specification. EOR qualification also requires reservoir-relevant solution quality, stability, injectivity and displacement testing.
Not necessarily. Viscosity development must be balanced with filtration, injectivity, retention and the reservoir's pore structure.
No. The 0.1–0.5% figure is general preparation guidance. Establish final injection concentration from the selected grade's measured response in the project water.
Provide Bluwat your reservoir and injection-water data, viscosity target and qualification protocol to discuss candidate grades, samples and 750 kg net supply.
