Blufloc CPAM is a dry polymer for conditioning compatible fermentation wastewater sludge. It has a minimum solid content of 89% and a stated two-year shelf life when stored as directed. Grade selection depends on the fermentation process, wastewater treatment stage and sludge dewatering behavior.
Fermentation plants may produce biomass-rich residues and wastewater treatment sludge with different proportions of cells, fine particles and biological material. Some sludge contains extracellular material that retains water and complicates dewatering. The source and condition of the solids matter more than the general fermentation industry label.
CPAM can be screened for charge interactions and bridging that promote useful floc formation before thickening or mechanical dewatering. The aim is water release with adequate solids capture. Industrial wastewater sludge conditioning should be kept distinct from recovery of production biomass for food, feed or another regulated product.
Support conditioning trials on biomass-rich wastewater treatment sludge.
Compare charge and molecular weight against the actual fermentation process.
Evaluate drainage and capture under representative machine conditions.
Provide bulk powder with defined dry-product quality and storage parameters.

Molecular weight and charge ranges describe the product family. Confirm the selected grade and current batch specification with Bluwat. The pH of a 1% product solution is a test parameter, not the required plant operating pH.
Identify whether the sample is production biomass, biological treatment sludge or a documented blend. For the wastewater sludge duty, measure feed solids and prepare CPAM separately. Screen grades and dosage using comparable samples, then verify performance through the full conditioning and dewatering route. Repeat with a representative variation in batch or fermentation campaign.
Assess sludge age, pH, salinity, upstream chemicals and the variability of the fermentation process. If high dose gives a sticky floc without useful drainage, review overdosing, solution preparation and the sludge structure instead of selecting solely for floc size. Confirm bulk handling capacity before choosing 750 kg packaging, and keep the powder protected from moisture.
Track cake dry solids, filtrate suspended solids, throughput and polymer demand per dry tonne. Use consistent feed solids and machine settings when comparing batches. Where dissolved organic load is important, measure it separately; better capture of cells and solids does not demonstrate removal of all soluble fermentation residues.
Prepare a 0.1–0.5% solution by mass using clean water. Add powder gradually to moving water to avoid lumps. Allow around one hour for dissolution, adjusting for grade, water quality and temperature. The TDS gives 200–400 rpm as a mixing reference; adapt mixing to the actual tank and impeller. Avoid unnecessary high shear after dissolution. A 0.1% solution contains 1 kg of product per 1,000 kg of final solution. Select the treatment dose separately through controlled trials.
Featured packaging is a 750 kg net big bag. Store the dry product sealed at 0–35 °C, protected from moisture and direct sunlight. The stated shelf life is two years under specified storage conditions. Reseal opened packaging and follow the current SDS for handling and spill cleanup.
No. Organism, process chemistry, sludge age and treatment stage can change the response.
It covers wastewater sludge conditioning. Product biomass recovery requires a separate review of the exact polymer and intended use.
Not necessarily. Overdosing, unsuitable grade or poor dissolution can also impair drainage.
No. It describes dry product stored as directed. Prepared solution needs separate management.
